Pros

Compared to SV startups/companies, it may not seem fancy and glamourous. No free lunch, not a full stocked snack room. But under the hood, the perks are amazing. Benefits are 100% covered. No money taken out of your paycheck for Medical or other insurance you might not use. And we get the same medical as players, so it's pretty amazing. The 401k is based on earnings and not contributions. Also, very generous. Free games. Depending on the location, the rules might be different. The Franchises are different from MLBAM, so they want to make money, not give tickets away for free. Despite this, I've been to 5 games this season and haven't paid for any of them. Discounts to a lot of things that only an old school company can pull together. Get to work on products that have DAUs/MAUs that some SV companies could only dream of. HBOnow, Watch ESPN, MLB AtBat, NHL, WWE. These are just some of the products we get to work on. Your work will not go unseen. If you're a sports fan, you probably see or use our work already without knowing it.

Cons

It's a large place. VPs around every corner. "Moving up" will take some time, but you won't be bored. If you're not moving up in title, you might get on a new exciting project or take on a pod lead role. There a ton of work to go around. If you care about being a "Head of Something" you should look for a smaller company to work for.

Pros

Great fast paced job environment. Everyone there truly wants to be there. If you love baseball just a great place to be.

Cons

Management is very poor. Upper management in Production is a very “bro” environment. If you go drinking and play golf and can hang with the “bros” you are taken care of. Not at all great with females or diverse people. Very non diverse and extremely misogynistic environment. People, especially the head person(s) in production, would be suspended or fired in another less dysfunctional company. Also the leaders are really out of touch with what goes on below them. They rely heavily on middle management to run things while they hide from the decisions and responsibilities. I also found the HR dept to be specifically out of touch with the staff, what they do daily, and who is doing the actual work.
