Corporate hires poor management , bad leaders /leadership on property. All about popularity and not about the actual work you do. Bad leadership, means high turnover. They tend to reward the bad apples, and forget about those hard working folks. Pay outs can be late for bonuses, and goals given months after a quarter closes.
Makeready Response

We continue to seek and hire highly talented leaders with a strong commitment to culture. However, we do make mistakes and sometimes we are unsuccessful at our hiring strategies; as do most of us as humans – but we make every effort to edit and react swiftly when we do have a misstep. Our goal is to surround our already talented group of strong leaders and team members with like-minded talent and an enthusiasm for hospitality.
At Makeready, we have a strong philosophy of not rewarding “bad apples”. In fact, we hire and fire based on alignment of our Guiding Principles which we hold true to on a daily basis. Our processes continue to need improvement and it is a goal we continue to strive for as a leadership team in whole. I am saddened to hear that your experience with Makeready leadership was viewed as “poor management”. However, your feedback helps us continue to improve on both areas you noted. Thank you for taking the time to use Glass Door as a way to give us feedback as we love the opportunity for improvement. If you would like to discuss further, I’m available at cmagrann@makereadyexperience.com
Thank you,
