Pros
- Met some really great people at this firm and built long lasting relationships - Pay was pretty good - Great stepping stone for more reputable firms
Cons
When I first started, I had very high hopes for this company and was told that I would be apart of leading Workday consulting firm that was making real waves in the ecosystem. I remember the CEO telling us about future deals and clients that were in the pipeline, and that this firm had uniquely positioned itself in the market that would set it apart from its competitors. My perspective changed when I was visiting one of my immediate family members for lunch in NY who worked at a megafund PE firm (not sure I'm allowed to say which one on here but think KKR, Apollo, Vista Equity) and a few of his buddies who also worked in finance. When I mentioned this firm to them they had no idea what I was talking about, and had never heard of the CEO. Additionally, when I mentioned that one of my project leads was ex-Big 4, a couple of them laughed and my family member said that I should "set my sights higher." I was a little embarrassed and realized that perhaps this firm might not have the reputation that I was lead to believe by the CEO and senior management. I enjoyed my time at this firm but I ultimately decided to accept a position at a more established company.
