Working at Makse Group builds character and makes future jobs feel like a cakewalk. The Denver office also has some great people.

I believe that the arrogance, anger-management issues and total lack of self-awareness possessed by the CEO has kept the company from growing. Makse Group has fallen well behind its competitors due to its lack of employee culture, extremely high turnover rate (take a look on LinkedIn to see how many people have come and gone over the last two years) and client churn. All of Makse Group's leadership team works remotely while the 25 or so junior-level employees are forced to work out of the office in Denver. When the CEO comes to visit the office, the fake smiles and enthusiasm shown to him are uncomfortable to witness. Despite microphone-enabled security cameras monitoring every corner of the office, there is a constant stream of discontent from the majority of employees that is ever-present when the leadership team is not visiting. The company culture is basically a shared hatred for the CEO and his antics and this kind of energy is draining to be around. Anyone who leaves the company on their own accord is immediately an enemy in the eyes of the CEO and will be talked poorly of, even if they were well-liked and respected when employed there. The CEO has also been known to show visible glee when firing people or speaking about firing people. Timesheets are over-scrutinized and 40 billable hours per week is mandatory. If you can't find enough work, you will either find a way to lie about your hours or get terminated, there is no in-between and there is absolutely 0 accountability from the leadership team regarding the constant lack of work and lack of new clients. It is also worth mentioning that the entire HR function of the company is run by the CEO's wife who has never once been seen in-person or on camera by anyone at the entire company. It was often joked about that she is in fact an AI chatbot. If you are considering joining Makse Group, or any company for that matter, I would advise you to find a handful of both current and former employees on LinkedIn and ask for their opinions. All of the 5-star reviews on Glassdoor are posted by either the CEO or someone on the leadership team that was forced into writing a review.
