Pros

Fun coworkers Lots of internal parties and events Great office space Delicious lunches

Cons

They've been the "cool kids on the block" for so long, that they assume all great things are their intrinsic credit and all negative things must be the fault of the complainer. Instead of looking at criticism and feedback with a big picture view, they usually resort to assuming that person is just prone to complain. The problem really enters the arena when large masses of employees are citing things like anxiety over corporate financial instability, lack of transparency in job security projection, and dismissal of dissatisfaction, that it becomes a bit more obvious that the common denominator is management and corporate structure. I want them to succeed, but it's their inability to believe they could fail that holds them back from creating a reasonable, scalable structure made to support their own workforce. Another problem they often face is by hiring overachievers, which normally isn't problematic, but it's made it so that many careers are atypical, and therefore unhelpful when it comes to finding a new position. (A scenario that many of their workforce recently faced after layoffs.) Starting a business via scrappy budgets, jack-of-all-trades job descriptions, and salaries that reflect the importance of "opportunity" over market value are all fine for a small startup. They have crossed the line into a large corporate playing field but seem to have missed the memo.

Pros

The strongest part of the workplace is the team - coworkers are supportive, collaborative, and genuinely care about each other, which creates a sense of community even during challenging times. The company also offers benefits at a low cost to the employees.

Cons

Communication within the organization is inconsistent and often unclear, creating a challenging work environment. There is ongoing, unexplained changes. Management provides unclear responses, if you ever get one, and leadership shifts priorities without transparency, leaving employees to adapt with little support. There are no opportunities for growth. And compensation is a joke.
