Pros

Working for a company that profits off of the prison system. LOL

Cons

They are very poor at hiring resulting in incompetent leadership/management. Working at a Job Corps site and while the students all have several days off for Christmas, like any other educational institution, Job Corps education/academic staff still must come to work with little to nothing to do, or can do at home since there are no students there. And some positions require a teaching license meaning you could work at a regular institution and get paid for summer and holidays while at home and possibly make more money.

Pros

The company is out there working to be a force for good in the world. Being a part of that is awesome.

Cons

They don’t not pay well enough across the board. Being in the role I was, I saw everyone’s salaries. For the work required, the pay is not nearly enough. Which also means that with lower salaries, you attract lower quality (generally) talent which translates to a lower quality work experience.
