Pros

Work and life balance- management is understanding for family activities. Allowing time off for childrens school activities. They provide a medical and dental benifits with a monthly employee contribution and co-pays for each visit.

Cons

The benifit package has continued to cost more each year. Raises have not happened or have not kept up with the rising cost of health care. Add in the raising cost of living and we are not gaining any ground. There is little room for advancement and the company works with government contracts that come and go each year. We operate under rules set by people that have no understanding of what it is like to live on a limited income.

Pros

The company is out there working to be a force for good in the world. Being a part of that is awesome.

Cons

They don’t not pay well enough across the board. Being in the role I was, I saw everyone’s salaries. For the work required, the pay is not nearly enough. Which also means that with lower salaries, you attract lower quality (generally) talent which translates to a lower quality work experience.
