Pros

Help students receive education. Great coworkers. Job Corps is one of the best kept secrets of federal government funding!

Cons

Focus on performance and number of students enrolled in the program often overshadow the good things that are happening. Lots of paperwork. MTC programs often add a lot of additional work which doesn't always translate to improved outcomes

Pros

The company is out there working to be a force for good in the world. Being a part of that is awesome.

Cons

They don’t not pay well enough across the board. Being in the role I was, I saw everyone’s salaries. For the work required, the pay is not nearly enough. Which also means that with lower salaries, you attract lower quality (generally) talent which translates to a lower quality work experience.
