Pros

Pay, Clients are dynamic, interesting, and dedicated

Cons

Insurance is horrible, management is horrible- to the point of being exploitative and abusive, concerns and professional assessments or opinions are ignored, collaboration with coworkers and teamwork is strongly discouraged, salary based on 40 hours, work 50-80 hours per week, 48 hours pto total- for sick AND vacation- per year, poor behavior of favored employees is ignored, reporting problems is retaliated against, watch poor-often criminal- medical and psychological negligence and abuse and will be retaliated against if concerns expressed, no training but punished if anything is missed, no real ethical oversight for the facility, repetitive curriculum for treatment with no ability to give clear requirements of achievement for clients as they are not truly considered for release even when their therapy goals are met, no leadership with compassion or backbone, treatment facility managed by prison management company with oversight by victims and other inappropriate members of the board for TCCO, understaffed 100% of the time reducing safety and increasing workload and hours, ever increasing responsibilities without ever increasing pay, general negative environment, management actively listens to rumors and takes action against clients as well as staff based on rumor with no evidence whatsoever, constant complaints from clients about decreasing food servings, poor medical care, general medical negligence, poor treatment by staff, etc

Pros

The company is out there working to be a force for good in the world. Being a part of that is awesome.

Cons

They don’t not pay well enough across the board. Being in the role I was, I saw everyone’s salaries. For the work required, the pay is not nearly enough. Which also means that with lower salaries, you attract lower quality (generally) talent which translates to a lower quality work experience.
