Pros
Teamwork, insurance benefits, PTO time accrual. Nurse to patient ratio good when not boarding patients. Great charge nurses who are supportive. Great doctors. Lots of support staff to help. Have loved working here and felt very supported for most of my years by the manager and director but that has changed with new management.... waiting a bit to see if it gets better. Love working here and would like to stay here forever.
Cons
Raises are pitiful, even for an outstanding evaluation. Tuition reimbursement very low compared to other hospitals. In the emergency department they don't care about patients that board for days at a time so you are expected to care for ER patients and inpatients. New management in ER which doesn't seem tuned into the issues and address them, especially when it involves the doctors or difficult employees (there is no changes). Manager is okay but doesn't run a tight ship and a lot of things go unaddressed, very inexperienced to be in charge of an ER which is a big change in the way the ER is run from the past few years.
