Pros

Non-leadership employees are simply the best. They do their jobs well for uncompetitive pay and little or no recognition. They do it because they take pride in their work product. They help their co-workers because they KNOW help cannot be expected from middle/senior leadership. Health insurance is EXCELLENT (low cost through a reputable provider - multiple options). Good place to get your feet wet……..but not a long-term option.

Cons

Communication/collaboration between departments is not encouraged. HR is not accessible and does not protect the privacy of employee information. The running joke is: If you want EVERYBODY to know, tell HR. Nepotism. Tons of it. Antiquated technology. Director level and above leadership is disconnected and consumed with company “politicking”, often to the degree of neglect: After my boss left the company, I went SIX MONTHS without knowing to whom I was reporting. Bottom Line: I left because of the complete and utter absence of competent leadership.

Pros

The pace is very fast. It was similiar to what I had done at previous jobs.

Cons

Manhattan Life did not give me enough accrued time off to go to all of my doctor appointments. I had cancer and they would not make an exception because I had been employed there less than 1 year.

Pros

It’s easy to get time off. Great bosses. Work is somewhat easy once you know what you are doing.

Cons

Have to log in on set hours. Raises arnt the best.
