Pros

Work not too demanding. No weekends. Great benefits. Tons of PTO. Great environment if you just want to work your shift and earn your paycheck.

Cons

Corporate policies on steroids! Office policies had been brought out into the shops. Management makes promises that are impossible to keep. Clients are charged rock-bottom prices therefore company has to make it up with volume. As a result technicians are increasingly required to produce more, meaning more hours need to be worked with the only incentive being overtime pay. There is zero incentive for greatness and an increasingly number of workers do just enough to avoid being written up. Very frustrating environment to want to excel in.

Pros

Flexible scheduling, and plenty of volunteer time, if you need extra money in your pocket - the ability to use your cell phone - have a lot of freedom without people looking over your back directly. But they're constantly scouring the lot watching. They call it policing the lot

Cons

Little room for advancement unless you are young - managers act like they're bi polar smile at you one minute and give you a dirty look the next - GM is very toxic and is a liar. Compensation is only slightly over minimum wage - company makes billions in profit - work outside in every weather condition, whether it's pouring rain and 5° or sunny and 100°
