Pros
Before being terminated, my checks were deposited on time.
Cons
If your position is terminated, be sure to get the termination notification in writing with the names and titles of everyone involved in the termination discussion. I had to follow up several times to receive the notification. After being terminated, I applied for unemployment. Two weeks later I received a letter from unemployment stating that Manpower was contesting my departure from the company and told unemployment that I quit. Fortunately, I had all the documentation I needed to provide unemployment. However, Manpower actually still stated that I had quit even after the letter from them clearly says "terminated." This went on for two months while I was denied unemployment benefits. Unemployment followed their process, but Manpower took advantage of every possible delay in the system they could. On two separate occasions, representatives from unemployment, upon seeing the company involved, stated, "Oh, you worked for Manpower. Now this makes sense. They do this all the time. They try to get out of paying ." The situation is frustrating, but don't give up. That's what Manpower is hoping you will do. If you get terminated, be prepared to demand everything in writing. Document the conversations and email it to them requesting an official letter. You may also want to attach the termination letter to your unemployment application.
