Pros

Independent work, easy work, training is one day then you learn as you go, schedule very flexible, hours are acceptable and not too late at night, if you like working with people/the public, it's a great place to work, plenty of freedom, opportunity to make tips

Cons

The pay/salary is below ideal, but for a job at a gas station, low pay is to be expected. That being said, the work expected after being employed after some time is increased due to an employee's knowledge and experience of the ins and outs of daily processes in the store. Instead of offering opportunity to grow in the company and earn an increase in pay, one is simply expected to do more work as time goes on without any incentive or increase in pay, position, or status. This increased work is physically taxing. One is also expected to train new employees without being compensated for such. Overtime is avoided so as not to have to pay an employee time and a half. Hours and days of heavy lifting, organizing, and stressful physical work deserves to be compensated for by an increase in hourly pay, but here it simply is not, yet the hard work is expected. Employees are also expected to be "on call" and not compensated for such either. Love and loyalty to this work family makes it hard to want to leave; but at the end of the day, one must support themselves and/or their families financially. This job may only be good for short-term, part-time, or supplemental income. It simply can not support a living human being on it's own.

Pros

There is a new CHRO in 2026. My rating is on former leadership. So glad someone saw how toxic the former CHRO was and she Is no longer there.

Cons

Unfortunately, it took 8 years and the loss of several great employees to see her behavior.
