Pros

You have a job & the overall written “mission“ is something that makes you want to be part of the team.

Cons

Expectations to work during your lunches and stay over. Worked 12hrs on an event. I didn’t get paid OT and they didn’t even let me eat, even though food was provided. Very unprofessional environment. Their expectations is for you to choose sides in thing’s you don’t want to be a part of when you just want to do their job. Admin and CMO frequently put down CEO.

My coworkers and our shared focus on our mission to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all. Especially our focus on uninsured and low-income residents in our community,

Cons

It would be great to be closer to the SMART train.

Pros

Healthcare mission-oriented organization Opportunity to work with diverse clinic locations Exposure to HIPAA-compliant systems

Cons

Remote Management: The IT manager is based approximately 500 miles away and visits the main office infrequently (approximately once per quarter). This distance created challenges for day-to-day support, mentorship, and team cohesion. Management Effectiveness: The IT Director's management approach created difficulties for the technical team. Several team members, including myself, found it challenging to receive adequate support and guidance needed to perform our roles effectively. Team Dynamics: During my tenure, the Lead Technician was demoted due to conduct issues. The workplace environment was often stressful and did not foster the collaborative atmosphere necessary for an effective IT support team. Communication Challenges: Both the director and lead technician were often unreceptive to questions from team members, which made it difficult to resolve technical issues efficiently and impacted our ability to provide quality support to clinic staff. Overall: While the organization's healthcare mission is commendable, the IT department's management structure and work environment presented significant challenges that affected team morale and job satisfaction.
