Pros
Good benefits. Not much else to say but I had to hit the min. word count.
Cons
If you work downtown you'll wait for about 6-12mo for parking. Once you get parking you'll pay $60/ mo. They do not reimburse you. No remote or hybrid options. No other parking avail., if you work an 8hr day you'll use your breaks to move your car every 3hrs. Double standards, nepotism, racism, homophobia, you name it. But what do you expect from Marion County? Make friends with HR and the union the minute you get hired, and request their presence at ALL check-ins. If you're hired on as bilingual you'll do about 50% more work than your co-workers, the "bilingual differential "doesn't add up. Be careful of the employees that have been there 25-30+ years, they want things to stay the way they are so if you want to keep your job just keep your head down. If you can't be obedient and keep your head down then this is not the job for you. They want the progressive grants for helping "Latinx" but they don't actually want any working there. Constantly complaining about being understaffed and complaining about how they can't hire bilingual workers because "none want to work".
