Pros
Maritz Culture is amazing. They really care about their employees and in general, trust them to do their job. They promote an atmosphere of listening, inclusion and integrity. You will always find some people that don't adhere to this type of culture in any company, but they don't tend to stay long at Maritz if they don't have these values. I left for 2 years and immediately came back when the opportunity arose. There are quite a few boomerang employees her because of this. I missed the people and the culture. They have really honed "taking care of each other first" & foremost, which boosts morale & gives employees a sense of common goals. We want to do the best we can for the company.
Cons
In comparison to other companies, technical roles tend to have lower salaries. This has been changing over the years, however, and I do see an effort to align with the rest of the tech world. We rely on tech for everything & have many proprietary products, so this is important. In addition, as a manager, some things can take a really long time to get accomplished for our direct reports because of the many teams approvals have to go through. This can be frustrating as we advocate for our people.
