Pros

The best part about Mark-Taylor is undoubtedly the people. I was drawn to this company because of the culture, and I will stay here many years because of it as well. The people are all so genuinely happy to be here and working together, and the company invests heavily in ensuring that all employees are constantly front of mind and provided great opportunities to grow and thrive here. I have made some of the greatest friends here, and they happen to be brilliant and talented people I get to learn from every day as well which is the cherry on top. Being a part of an organization that is so stable and longstanding but also growing and evolving so much is also a very key element to this company that makes it unique and wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better employer and place to call "home" for my career!

Cons

Sometimes growth is hard, and certain things that you would hope could be figured out with the snap of your fingers can't be. There is high urgency, but you also have to learn how to balance that with patience when need be, which can be a challenge for most people (myself included.) This is typical of any organization that is growing and changing, but we are not immune to it.

Pros

- Beautiful communities - Great training opportunities - Competitive pay

Cons

- Upper management does not give transparent feedback - Upper management will ask you to coach struggling team member's, but not support you when the team member's complain about being coached - Inconsistent internal hiring processes - Guiding principles are weaponized to justify shady HR practices - There are known corporate team members, that if you get on their "bad side" you will not be treated fairly
