Pros

Mark Taylor offers a lot of training programs for leasing, assistant managers, and service techs. Leasing is a fun position and you can make a good living.

Cons

All corporate managers have different expectations so you are always being told to do things one way or another. The pay for the service team is no enough. On-call constantly and running properties alone without any appreciation or consideration. Quick to fire anyone that doesn't meet every single MT standard or that has a different opinion. Hard to move up for Service Managers and Property Managers unless you are part of the MT click. They have secret meetings and back door conversations. That's really the only way to get promoted.

Pros

- Beautiful communities - Great training opportunities - Competitive pay

Cons

- Upper management does not give transparent feedback - Upper management will ask you to coach struggling team member's, but not support you when the team member's complain about being coached - Inconsistent internal hiring processes - Guiding principles are weaponized to justify shady HR practices - There are known corporate team members, that if you get on their "bad side" you will not be treated fairly
