Pros

Pro is that the building is nice and renovated.

Cons

I joined Marki with high hopes and optimism, but unfortunately, my time there was marred by an extremely toxic work environment. It's essential for potential employees to be aware of the issues I encountered during my tenure. The most significant problem I faced was the company culture, which seemed to prioritize competition over collaboration. There was a constant sense of mistrust and an unhealthy level of internal competition among team members. This not only hindered productivity but also made it challenging to build meaningful working relationships. Moreover, the leadership did little to address the toxic culture. Instead of fostering an atmosphere of open communication, there was a noticeable lack of transparency in decision-making processes. This led to confusion and frustration among employees, as we often felt excluded from important discussions that directly impacted our work. The work-life balance was virtually non-existent. (Previous reviewer said there was 4 weeks of PTO. NOT TRUE) Lastly, the lack of support for professional growth and development was disheartening. The absence of clear career paths and opportunities for skill enhancement made it difficult for employees to envision a long-term future with the company.

Pros

You’ll likely learn a lot and some of the managers are ready great at pinpointing your skills and moving you around to let you shine.

Cons

Dishonest, will actively try to make you believe you don’t deserve raises, boasts record profits every quarter and then says they can’t afford raises for the entire production team (you know, the people who are the reason the company has products made to sell), some management behaves inappropriately by gossiping about other employees on the team with subordinates and then about that subordinate to others, adding more and more responsibilities without increase in pay, guilts employees for being out sick or having sick children. The company used to have a close knit and healthy company culture but changed a lot when they switched building and became a mid-sized company. Now the company culture is that classic corporate vibe that treats its production team like livestock and keeps the money at the top. Oh also they switched to MUCH worse health benefits that are so clearly awful compared to what they used to offer but during the switch, kept stating it was better as if the employees can’t read and won’t notice their deductibles being actually 10x higher than before.
