Pros
Marquette offers a competitive salary, exceptional benefits, PTO, and all that other good stuff. They take care of their employees. When there are issues on the property (e.g. between co workers or personally) matters are resolved in a very caring and professional manner. They also hire within quite often. I enjoyed working with Marquette and only left because I got offered an Assistant Manager position with a different company.
Cons
Some of the Corporate team is very impersonal and our regional manager did not follow through with his "required" monthly meetings (they are supposed to visit the property and meet with the team.) Instead, he would hide in the office with the property manager quite often. In addition, the head honcho claims he is communicative but I had sent him information on the non-profit I operate and a request to ask the employees (nationally) to donate, or find a way to incorporate it into the company. Not only did he not respond, he had my regional manager call me to tell me what a great job I was doing ... again, very impersonal. Properties can be full of immaturity and gossip, as well as favoritism. In addition, they say development is important, but took away from in-person development classes and require constant, time-consuming online work (again, very impersonal.)
