Pros

Nice view of the mountains.

Cons

It's a very "who you know" workplace in that they pick favorites and discard everyone else's concerns. For the "competitive wages," they also tax all they can and offer healthcare at a high premium - if you need employee housing, expect checks smaller than minimum wage. They say they match 401k on CoolWorks but they haven't since COVID though "they plan to again" like the one movie night they had in the first month which they made F&B cater and left all their trash for them to clean up. Guest clientele are VERY needy, owners come by expecting free everything and are unpleasant to staff, the hotel is oversold more often than it should be. Employees are not given support from absentee management and the environment is toxic what with it being a rumor mill. After being with the hotel since they opened, I cannot say I would ever recommend anyone work here if they didn't have to, which explains why those who aren't fired for making waves end up leaving for better jobs across the street.

Pros

Great Benefits. You can see the company makes a real effort to take care of their employees.

Cons

The expectations of hours worked are very high. 50 hours a week is the minimum, the reality is you will be at the property a lot longer each day.

Pros

Cafeteria offers good food for a low price. Marriott discounts at other hotels

Cons

The favoritism of employees is backed by corporate. If someone has been working here longer than you, they get to pick and choose what shifts they want. If there is an open shift they also first get to choose whether they want it or not. Lastly if there are cuts, they get to choose if they want to stay or leave before others. The favoritism doesnt stop there. The managers also make them do less sidework, and give them good sections where as new employees are the bottom of the barrel in all aspects. Honestly horrible experience. They dont care about your well being either. Im scheduled opening and closing shifts consecutively which means I get under 4 hours of sleep between shifts. Sleep deprivation is not a joke; do not recommend.
