Pros
Understanding management Family Atmosphere Sales Staff was Really Nice (at the time) Management trusts you to make the right decision for the guests You wear a lot of hats so you learn a lot about hospitality Meet guests from all over the world and in fields of every kind Management always had my back
Cons
Usually busy (not a con) but at night you are on your own unless it’s an EXTREME emergency Pay is bad and no benefits unless you opt into a 3rd party - but this could be said anywhere in hospitality Personal development for employees is nonexistent aside from Marriott training videos Expect to work whenever they need you and you will have to do things outside your job description (may not always be a bad thing but just extra work) As in any customer service job you are a punching bag for the hotel - high turn over Not a lot of options to move up
