Pros

Decent pay Great bonus typically Great benefits

Cons

Feels impossible to move up from the factory unless your favored or know someone. They push career progression throughout orientation but is rarely seen past that. Leadership makes good workers feel used. Very high turnover, Starting pay rises faster than raises for current associates Very big disconnect between the factory and office/upper management. They push Safety and quality hard on associates, but bend the rules all the time to push production. Reactive as opposed to proactive in terms of fixing stuff which makes it very stressful on factory workers who have to work around or fix stuff constantly. Recent abrupt schedule change that split up associates, the selection process for who got what allegedly had guidelines, but was very obviously twisted for certain people. There is no work life balance depending on where you go, if your on straight nights you never have energy in work let alone outside of it.

Pros

I’ve been at Mars (Yorkville site) for about three months as a Quality Systems Senior Specialist, and so far it’s been a great experience. Everyone has been genuinely friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. The culture feels very supportive—people want to see you succeed and are quick to share knowledge and offer guidance. My manager has been amazing and is truly invested in my growth. She’s helped set clear expectations, encouraged development, and provided the tools and support I need to be successful.

Cons

None so far—still new, but my experience has been very positive.

Pros

Great people who believe in a common mission. Strong leadership and support.

Cons

Budgets and decision making for technical programs are centralized at a high level with little to no consideration for how it affects individual programs and their unique needs. Heavy bureaucracy involved in setting up simple things.
