Pros

Free candy and ice cream if you want it. Most of the people who work there are nice.

Cons

Manage by fear. Constant turnover. No clear expectations on how to perform your role. Each manager seemed to run their team different. Ex - Some managers didn't care if you wore jeans to work, Another would say no jean. Both teams are performing almost the same function in an office without direct customer contact but the expectation on how they dress is totally different. Employee reviews are based off of how well you performed against your peers, not how well you performed. Ex - eveyone met their goals but one person on the team exceed them by 10%. Why didn't you meet that same goal? You need to perform better. If you want me to meet a certain standard, then set it. Don't set the standard then complain that I didn't exceed it.

Pros

I’ve been at Mars (Yorkville site) for about three months as a Quality Systems Senior Specialist, and so far it’s been a great experience. Everyone has been genuinely friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. The culture feels very supportive—people want to see you succeed and are quick to share knowledge and offer guidance. My manager has been amazing and is truly invested in my growth. She’s helped set clear expectations, encouraged development, and provided the tools and support I need to be successful.

Cons

None so far—still new, but my experience has been very positive.
