Pros
- Surrounded by smart and talented people - Great network to have once you've left, always happy to connect and help - Travel is much better than traditional consulting companies; can travel internationally, most projects are not M-Th travel schedules. - Some projects are very interesting
Cons
The below may differ from office to office and manager to manager. - Some middle managers are clearly untrained: projects become much more difficult and chaotic as a result - SF office is falling off the map, everyone is leaving, very difficult to get promoted from there, not enough managers, etc. - No transparency into company vision or strategy, VPs don't seem to care in the slightest about associates, and conversely most associates leave after a couple of years. - No HR department. Everyone thinks HR is silly until you realize you don't like your manager and there's nothing you can do about it If you're looking for an innovative and forward-thinking company to join, this is not the place for you. However it still serves as a great place to start your career, given the network and name recognition.
