      Pros

      They will run you They have the freight Technology is A-1 Trucks are fairly new Great communication Fleet is mostly automatics

      Cons

      They will short you miles on a trip they don't pay actual mileage on truck but you use a computer system called Randall McNally and that system shorts you 30 to 40 miles per trip which adds up over time Sliding pay scale They take money out of your check for everything Very sneaky pay attention to your pay stub They enroll you in a 401k and you have to opt out every year to not get deducted for 50 to 60 bucks. I wonder how many drivers look at there pay stub and know they are been robbed.

      Thank you for sharing some of your experiences here at Marten Transport. We understand that pay is one of the most important things to any employee. This something we believe we can improve on. We are currently working to better the paychecks of each of our drivers, which includes continuing to pay drivers for the times the wheels aren’t turning. We know this is something we can, and will, improve upon to keep our drivers happy and successful.

      Pros

      Full 48hrs off a week, good miles, great support, onsite 24hr mechanic and tire shop, showers, close to all needs.

      Cons

      4mos in none in sight.

      Pros

      Good office camaraderie, regular PTO available for long term employees if you stay there long enough, good overall structure in place to deal with most common trucking company/industry issues.

      Cons

      Management has a tendency to nitpick issues. Everything is goal and growth oriented as a public company so you're always expected to do more with less. During the current trucking market they keep looking for new ways to trim the fat. This was the first year they didn't provide company calendars to employees, and got rid of the yearly floating PTO day as well. 401k contributions also diminished. There were also blatant sexist/transphobic/homophobic remarks made nearly daily and nothing was ever done about it.
