Pros

I’d like to share some positive aspects of working at Marvell based on my experience. First, the work environment is generally collaborative, and many colleagues are supportive, which fosters teamwork. The company also offers opportunities to work on innovative projects that can enhance your skills and experience in the tech industry. Additionally, the resources available for professional development, such as training and workshops, can be beneficial for career growth. Flexible scheduling options are available, which can help with work-life balance, even if remote work isn't fully supported. Lastly, the overall culture encourages individuals to bring new ideas to the table, allowing for creativity and input on projects. The company gives back to the community. Some groups invest in employees for training.

Cons

I’ve got a few thoughts about the downsides of working at Marvell based on my experience. First off, it feels like there's a lot of scrutiny when it comes to attendance. If you're not at your desk or if you miss a day, certain people notice, and remote work isn’t really supported. Then there's the issue of promotions—it's frustrating because they’re often promised but rarely come through, and honestly, recognition for our hard work is almost non-existent. Communication is another big problem. I feel like there's a serious lack of direction from our department leader. We never have staff meetings, so it’s hard to keep up with what's happening at the lower levels. It really feels like the people doing the day-to-day work are the backbone of the team, but we're not acknowledged. And if you find yourself needing help from HR, just be careful. If you reach out, it seems like any concerns just end up getting escalated without much resolution. Hard to move in the organization.

Pros

I worked with highly talented engineers on challenging projects and learned a great deal about embedded systems and software development. The engineering culture encouraged collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning, making it an excellent place to grow professionally.

Cons

As with many large organizations, some processes and decision-making could be slow, and cross-team coordination occasionally added delays to project execution.

Pros

-high impact work, high visibility, hyped field (AI Infra) -most teams don't have daily standups like traditional software companies, less useless meetings -insanely smart employees -5 days office but management is very lenient; any small reason to wfh is perfectly fine -feels good to be here

Cons

pay could be better if compared to the big leagues like nvidia and broadcom
