Pros

Pay seems good. And they had a weekend shift.

Cons

Very unprofessional management. Production employees trying to hide known defects to make my job harder, and management does not care. Only spent 2 weeks at this job while working another full time job as a federal inspector. The amount of defects going down the line and shipping to customers was appalling. And the way production managers talked to employees on the floor is disgusting. First week working on the floor saw the inhumane treatment of production workers. Gotta push product out we only care about numbers. Let's send window frames with wet wood, paint defects, etc and scream at the QC if they won't send it. Let's also treat our new hires like animals and act like they are disposable and throw them into the lines with little to no training.

Pros

Fantastic! Work-life balance was great.

Cons

Upper level management could be wishy-washy on decision making.

Pros

Good benefits, company values, and employees are considered when big decisions are made. There's opportunities for labor share and travel to other locations. It is family owned and while we don't see them often, they make you feel seen and that you matter. There's a nurse who is easy to talk to and actually cares. There have been a lot of changes in HR but its for the better. Lots of opportunities to learn new things and grow. We also got a new parking lot which was much needed since the plant has grown.

Cons

Mandatory overtime on Saturdays, but has gotten better. Not much visibility from the safety department on second and third shift unless its early afternoon on second shift - or - the last couple hours on third shift. There's four safety specialists here and they all mostly work during business hours, so unless you catch them before they leave its difficult to address anything. There's a safety committee but it can be difficult to get an actual person from the safety department because of their working hours.
