Pros

You will get exposed to a wide array of contracts but will not get much assistance on your work to really gain the benefit from exposure. Hours are reasonable compared to a law firm.

Cons

Poor team moral generally. Most of the associate general counselors appear sad for the most part. Not much help with developing legal skills and false chances of a position are given at every chance to encourage you to work harder. If you are considering a law firm after law school, this will experience will not help you get into a firm and may hinder it. Once you got in-house it's hard to get out.

Pros

Nothing at all. It's all listed in the cons.

Cons

We were sold off to them from Optimum. Quickly trying to become the worst company in America to work for. They took away our vacation. Our sick time. Our personal time. They took away holidays. Now they are saying that working a holiday is mandatory unless you asked it off 2 weeks before it (they gave notice of that less than a week before it). They monitor wherever you are, doing whatever, soon as that truck moves. You aren't allowed to backup. If you call in two times in a 90 day period, you're in trouble. If it gets to 8 times (the last call in continues it on) you're fired. They overwork you because they are "behind" and you're just expected to work later. We're expected to do more and for less. They even denied our merit raises saying they didn't believe in them. They don't care about your family and wanting to see them. To be able to spend time outside of work. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN HELP IT!
