Pros

Knowledge & Experience gained is good - I acquired a lot of experience from being tasked with duties well above my position, for the same pay, of course. The company offers a benefits package using insurance provider that is not currently widely accepted (in my experience with my network of providers here locally). Most corporations offer profit sharing and 401k, along with HSA opt, and Paid Time Off to be used within each calendar year. The dental was decent, and vision helpful. There were other benefit options available to pay for, also.

Cons

In a fortune 500 company, the people that make up that company often become very small and insignificant. Work/Life Balance Management P&P Working countless hours away from family with little time off granted, due to "business needs" was not an uncommon experience, regardless of unused PTO available, nor the length of time in which it had to be used. In life, there is a lot of paperwork required for most all positions, including field personnel - to be expected with any working position in life, of course, but when repetitive paperwork is in opposition of being able to get the job done, it can become a hindrance to getting the job done safely and/or on time. HR and the differing departments related to personnel assistance were a nightmare to reach/work with. HR does not appear to know how to effectively help the employees of subsidiary companies efficiently. If wild goose chase challenges are what is preferred for getting the personnel hired for the work, getting inventory to do the job or help for the crews, or getting anywhere with HR or timesheets submitted timely for correct/corrected pay then this is the place where those challenges can be tried, in my opinion of course. The company has underwent many changes in recent years that seem to have sadly squashed employee morale. The crews in office and in field seem to be mere skeleton crews that appear overworked, highly stressed, underpaid, and many with mental & physical health deteriorating. I won't even begin a review of training - not enough space nor legalities for that one. Good luck implementing changes to help the team in any way, and be leary of anything not in writing. In summary, there just seemed to be way too much to be done in too little time with too few people and too few resources to do it all in/with, and for years, the help that was needed and requested was simply not supplied. All of this is stated in my personal opinion and experience only.

Pros

Nothing at all. It's all listed in the cons.

Cons

We were sold off to them from Optimum. Quickly trying to become the worst company in America to work for. They took away our vacation. Our sick time. Our personal time. They took away holidays. Now they are saying that working a holiday is mandatory unless you asked it off 2 weeks before it (they gave notice of that less than a week before it). They monitor wherever you are, doing whatever, soon as that truck moves. You aren't allowed to backup. If you call in two times in a 90 day period, you're in trouble. If it gets to 8 times (the last call in continues it on) you're fired. They overwork you because they are "behind" and you're just expected to work later. We're expected to do more and for less. They even denied our merit raises saying they didn't believe in them. They don't care about your family and wanting to see them. To be able to spend time outside of work. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN HELP IT!
