Management gossips about your performance Management doesn’t mentor safety professionals properly. Throw safety people under the boss. No work life balance. Not allowed to use rotation to go home to accommodate project needs CM’s have authority over safety professionals. No regard for the value of safety professionals role in the organization No upward mobility. Top leadership in safety only cares that you stay to 8 pm everyday doing all the safety paperwork. Certain safety professionals call upper management to report your performance and are not trustworthy, especially the ones that have been there for many years. Poor hiring practice with poor performers hired to be in safety position without adequate amount of knowledge or training.
