Pros

The company does great things, but since this is a review about the work environment, I cannot think of any pros.

Cons

Engineering runs the show. The engineers are great, but the engineering leadership team is composed of people that will do anything to avoid looking bad. That even means exercising their influence to ensure people are let go. Objectively speaking, there is a certain mob feel to the culture. People down proactively, and there is a lot of fear in the air. The name of the game is to avoid being noticed. If you keep your head down and keep quiet, you'll only have to worry about how stressful the environment is, and how afraid everyone is of the management team.

Pros

Danaher came in and this new ceo will be better than the last one. Innovative devices that make a real difference in clinical environments. Talented, dedicated engineers and individual contributors who are passionate about quality and results. Competitive benefits and resources supporting the technical work.

Cons

senior leadership appear disconnected from actual operations. They often seem to know little about the day-to-day realities and contribute minimal practical value, leading to poor decisions, bottlenecks, and wasted effort for the teams doing the real work. Increasing bureaucracy and top-heavy structure that slows down progress despite the strong capabilities of the people on the ground. A noticeable gap between executive influence and actual impact, which is frustrating even as a newcomer observing it. Key talent and legacy know-how are leaving at a concerning rate, which makes newcomers like me nervous about the company’s long-term knowledge retention and stability. Gossip is rampant, further eroding trust and team cohesion.
