Pros

Marginally better pulse oximetry technology. Located in Orange County, California which is warm and sunny most of the year. Not likely that you will be put in a life threatening position on the job since you will never be asked to work with sharp knives or fire. Easy to find parking within a short walk from the front, back, or side doors to the building.

Cons

I left Masimo after three years with the company and can tell you that absolutely NO ONE that I knew would ever give this company a five star review unless they were being paid to do it or (more likely) threatened if they didn't. Very oppressive, autocratic environment. Shady stuff.

Pros

Danaher came in and this new ceo will be better than the last one. Innovative devices that make a real difference in clinical environments. Talented, dedicated engineers and individual contributors who are passionate about quality and results. Competitive benefits and resources supporting the technical work.

Cons

senior leadership appear disconnected from actual operations. They often seem to know little about the day-to-day realities and contribute minimal practical value, leading to poor decisions, bottlenecks, and wasted effort for the teams doing the real work. Increasing bureaucracy and top-heavy structure that slows down progress despite the strong capabilities of the people on the ground. A noticeable gap between executive influence and actual impact, which is frustrating even as a newcomer observing it. Key talent and legacy know-how are leaving at a concerning rate, which makes newcomers like me nervous about the company’s long-term knowledge retention and stability. Gossip is rampant, further eroding trust and team cohesion.
