Pros

The other engineers are fantastic to work with; highly competent, personable, fun, and hard working.

Cons

Executives have lost all sense of what it's like for the employees. Executives write off complaints about sub-par benefits with statements such as "We have the same benefits as you and we're not complaining." Executives cancel annual raises, stating it's a cost saving measure to help the company. If you don't like it then Masimo isn't for you, it's just for a very special breed of workers. Brags of the toxic environment created by the executives working as "an immune system, eliminating the poor performers."

Pros

Danaher came in and this new ceo will be better than the last one. Innovative devices that make a real difference in clinical environments. Talented, dedicated engineers and individual contributors who are passionate about quality and results. Competitive benefits and resources supporting the technical work.

Cons

senior leadership appear disconnected from actual operations. They often seem to know little about the day-to-day realities and contribute minimal practical value, leading to poor decisions, bottlenecks, and wasted effort for the teams doing the real work. Increasing bureaucracy and top-heavy structure that slows down progress despite the strong capabilities of the people on the ground. A noticeable gap between executive influence and actual impact, which is frustrating even as a newcomer observing it. Key talent and legacy know-how are leaving at a concerning rate, which makes newcomers like me nervous about the company’s long-term knowledge retention and stability. Gossip is rampant, further eroding trust and team cohesion.
