Pros

Good cafe Decent campus Some people are friendly and care about you

Cons

No remote/hybrid work Senior and middle management is untrained at best and utterly incompetent at most times CEO called himself John Wick in all hands and explained what it meant with graphic language Hardly any benefits and sub-par compensation Flaky decision making at top and middle level leading to complete chaos at individual contributer level Nobody is set up for success at Masimo thereby ensuring they work long hours and weekends to get the work done Day to day way of working in many departments is stuck in the 90s or early 00s. Massive crunch time for every project because the senior and middle leadership dont know how to scope, plan and assign resources Some interviewers on the panel may straight lie to you about hard questions you may ask them, which you wont find out about until lot later in your employment Its unfortunate, but almost no one learns from past mistakes and shortcomings, and those who do are usually laid off I can go on and on, but i'd like to make a final point - this company is not a bad place for you if you are self-centered and inexperienced, unwilling to learn from past, dont care about how your work affects others, but instead only care about your wallet.

Pros

Danaher came in and this new ceo will be better than the last one. Innovative devices that make a real difference in clinical environments. Talented, dedicated engineers and individual contributors who are passionate about quality and results. Competitive benefits and resources supporting the technical work.

Cons

senior leadership appear disconnected from actual operations. They often seem to know little about the day-to-day realities and contribute minimal practical value, leading to poor decisions, bottlenecks, and wasted effort for the teams doing the real work. Increasing bureaucracy and top-heavy structure that slows down progress despite the strong capabilities of the people on the ground. A noticeable gap between executive influence and actual impact, which is frustrating even as a newcomer observing it. Key talent and legacy know-how are leaving at a concerning rate, which makes newcomers like me nervous about the company’s long-term knowledge retention and stability. Gossip is rampant, further eroding trust and team cohesion.
