Pros
A company full of some of the smartest and hardest working people you will ever work with A shiny polished building to work 60+ hours a week in
Cons
Do not come to work for Masimo if you value your metal health. Masimo is an environment where everything is an emergency and you will be working under a state of constant crisis. Then when you work night and day to meet completely arbitrary and unrealistic deadlines you are rewarded by having your merit raises rescinded at the 11th hour. We were all betrayed. Project management is non-existent, everything is shoot from the hip. I have yet to see a formal project schedule or any kind of detailed planning, or basic planning for the matter. People just show up out of the blue and tell you it has to be done in a week. So you drop what you are doing and run off and work on something else. Later you are asked if the first thing you were working on got finished, like no one was aware that you were reassigned to a different task. Be all of this as it may, we were directly told by the CEO that Masimo is not changing a thing. When questions regarding compensation for purposes of hiring and retaining people were brought up we are told that anyone who cares about compensation is not welcome at Masimo, as they are viruses to be rooted out by Masimo’s immune system.
