Pros

A vast majority of the people who work at Masimo are amazing. They are dedicated to the hard work necessary to make great products.

Cons

Very recently, an engineering executive called a meeting demanding that RandD staff sign a letter stating they’d quit if our CEO is voted out by shareholders. Many of us have worked so hard to make great products, and to be forced to sign off was disheartening, at the very least. This is one piece of a pattern of abuse and poor judgment by leadership. From forced hiring of family members to a lack of strategic planning. In all my years, we’ve never truly had an operating budget. There is zero transparency. It's just “keep working, we’ve got your back” rhetoric.

Pros

Danaher came in and this new ceo will be better than the last one. Innovative devices that make a real difference in clinical environments. Talented, dedicated engineers and individual contributors who are passionate about quality and results. Competitive benefits and resources supporting the technical work.

Cons

senior leadership appear disconnected from actual operations. They often seem to know little about the day-to-day realities and contribute minimal practical value, leading to poor decisions, bottlenecks, and wasted effort for the teams doing the real work. Increasing bureaucracy and top-heavy structure that slows down progress despite the strong capabilities of the people on the ground. A noticeable gap between executive influence and actual impact, which is frustrating even as a newcomer observing it. Key talent and legacy know-how are leaving at a concerning rate, which makes newcomers like me nervous about the company’s long-term knowledge retention and stability. Gossip is rampant, further eroding trust and team cohesion.
