Pros

The worker bees are wonderful--smart, nice people

Cons

Too many to count. Too much work, too few hours, and after last week, too few employees to do the work. Management has spent so much time having their heads in the sand to keep the peace/their own jobs, that the company as a whole is now at risk. There's been three people primarily making ALL decisions, and it became impossible to know which decisions were made for the betterment of the business and society and which were made to hide pertinent details. Bad decisions are made to keep financials looking acceptable while putting patients at risk. Masimo is nearing double-digit product recalls for the year and have had multiple whistleblowers come out. The current situation isn't going to get better anytime soon.

Pros

Danaher came in and this new ceo will be better than the last one. Innovative devices that make a real difference in clinical environments. Talented, dedicated engineers and individual contributors who are passionate about quality and results. Competitive benefits and resources supporting the technical work.

Cons

senior leadership appear disconnected from actual operations. They often seem to know little about the day-to-day realities and contribute minimal practical value, leading to poor decisions, bottlenecks, and wasted effort for the teams doing the real work. Increasing bureaucracy and top-heavy structure that slows down progress despite the strong capabilities of the people on the ground. A noticeable gap between executive influence and actual impact, which is frustrating even as a newcomer observing it. Key talent and legacy know-how are leaving at a concerning rate, which makes newcomers like me nervous about the company’s long-term knowledge retention and stability. Gossip is rampant, further eroding trust and team cohesion.
