There honestly aren’t any pros. The work is easy, but the salaries are really low so it kind of matches up.
Cons
I didn’t realize how terrible this place is run until my current job. There is a culture of employee suppression. Most people that work there have the mindset that they’ll do the same job until they leave or retire. A co-worker in the IT department retired after 25 years on the job, they didn’t throw them a party or even acknowledge (not even an Email) their contribution to the academy. He just left his last day like it was any other day, it was sad. Their enrollment is plummeting because staff aren’t the only people that realize it’s a bad place, prospective students recognize it as well. Unless you are a white male from New England you’ll stick out like a sore thumb.
