Pros
- APT is a great place to start a career right out of College! In addition to great benefits and really smart and friendly coworkers, there are also loads of opportunities to grow really quickly! A few months into the job, I was presenting an analysis to senior executives at a client. - The culture is very welcoming and entrepreneurial. The management encourages and is very responsive to ideas for further improving the culture. With mentorship being an important component of an individual's career development, coworkers are invested in each other's growth! - A comprehensive and detailed semi-annual review process coupled with consistent feedback from teammates means you are always recognized for what you're doing well and given great advice for working on your opportunities. - Great flexibility in defining your role. For example, a lot of folks on the consulting side are also involved in other areas of the firm such as product development, marketing, sales and recruiting. If you're interested in something that is not part of your traditional role, you can easily find opportunities to do so and also get official allocation for it. - Great respect for analytical rigor. The questions we tackle are some of the most important and challenging questions that businesses face these days and we ensure that our answers are robust and backed by data. With companies around the world focused more on making data-driven decisions rather than those based on "gut-feel" or experience, it's great to be a part of a company that has taken on as its mission to enable that!
Cons
- Work-life balance on the consulting side has been a challenge with relatively longer hours and demanding work - APT does not sponsor business school or other types of full-time graduate school. Though as of recently there is a stipend available for part-time classes.
