Pros

- fun brands with cultural relevance - purpose in work - intelligent, talented workforce - unlimited PTO - ability to choose work-life balance (IF ok with not advancing quickly)

Cons

- WAY too serious for a company that's supposed to be producing fun = lower employee morale, less creative thinking - Disingenuous concern for wellbeing, work-life balance (underlying message = we want you to take care of yourself, but we'll exploit people who don't have boundaries with work by promoting them first) - Leaders make quick, cutthroat decisions with little explanation - Lots of barriers and delays to work that actually matters - (Perhaps department-dependent) very little career mobility - Lower salaries than comparable positions at similar companies - Perfectionist culture fosters more competitive, fear-based environment than collaborative environment - Unnecessary 4-day in-office mandate - Few employee engagement events / benefits beyond PTO

Mattel is a notable name and you get to work with some really great brands.

Pros

Depends on your team and manager! If you get a good one, it's great. However, if you get a bad one... it's really bad. Luck of the draw.

Cons

Poor director upper management usually from all departments. They often do lay offs every year, sometimes 2-3 times a year to clean management. Thus causing a lot of churn.
