The working environment is very collaborative. Every day I come to work excited that I get to work on a product, for a company, that is quite literally reimagining and changing how the world experiences business. There is so much buy in here as to why Matterport was conceived and how it's helping businesses articulate and portray space in a way that is impossible for regular 2D photography. Also, the benefits are out of this world.
Cons
Look, this a scrappy startup that is rapidly growing and that means constant change. Change is difficult for many people, we seek homeostasis, routine, and stability which makes the relationship of growth complicated. All in all, I see no real negatives to working at Matterport except that we are a VC backed company with enormous expectation(26th fastest growing on Inc. 5000). Our biggest competitor is simply inertia and ourselves.
