Solid - Staff Infrastructure Engineer Matterport Employee Review

Matterport has some great leadership that's very competent at navigating priorities relative to the market. It's sad that they acquired multiple companies in 2022 and then did a massive layoff that I lost my job in, but I believe this is for the best at Matterport. Severance was fair. Benefits were great. Learning opportunities and growth are plentiful, you just have to plan it around the right approach. I understand this is a business and I hold nothing against them. Grateful for my time there and I would work for them again if the market wasn't in the shape it's currently in or if I were in a different field. Also, everyone I worked with was extremely professional and talented. I never had a bad work experience and it always felt like we were ramping up/growing exponentially in a calm, yet exciting way. If you do get to work here, Maybe it's just my prior experience, but this was such a breath of fresh air to work with people that were above their egos and also had lots of experience in their subject matter.
