Pros

Flexible scheduling, plenty of clients to find a good match for your workload preferences, weekly pay, office staff all very nice, caring, and supportive, hands on training in areas/skills you may not have done enough to feel confident doing.

Cons

Benefits are poor, takes forever to earn adequate PTO time, healthcare plan does not even cover ER visits, clients homes are far away sometimes, and they’ve lowered hourly rates for high-tech/high-acuity clients by a significant amount since I started with them 5 years ago so you now do the same work, and have the same liabilities for less money

Pros

The most flexible schedule you will ever get in Nursing! The patient and the families were also amazing to work with! When I was there, they also gave a $5000 sign on bonus and if you worked full-time, I think every three months you get $1000 bonus and then if you worked part-time and medicine a certain amount of hours every three months you would get a $500 bonus.

Cons

When they first hire you on, they will try to give you the worst patients. By this, I mean, the patient themselves are wonderful. However, the family of the patient is terrible. They will also make you drive very far to accommodate the patient. Don't worry, though if you stand your ground and tell them that you want a patient that is closer by they will give you the patient that is closer and if you voice that the patient's family is making you uncomfortable and YOU push to get another patient instead they will accommodate you as well.
