Cons
Recruiters are the work horses of the company. As a Recruiter, you are the direct supervisor for over 100 employees, in addition to being the direct customer service contact for all clients. Your wear many hats in the office and when something goes wrong, you are typically blamed for it. If you choose to be a recruiter with Maxim, you most certainly will get accustomed to getting screamed at on a weekly basis by some of your high strung clients, often times because an employee calls off his/her shift. In my 18 months, I've also had the pleasure of being woken up many times in the middle of the night while being on call due to a nurse calling off for that morning. 75% of your nurses and clients are great but the other 25% can make your life miserable. I've went through a lot of stress as a Recruiter but I will say that I have gained invaluable experience. I firmly believe if you can do well at Maxim, you will build a great foundation for your career and can thrive in any job. If you can grind it out for 1 to 2 years, great opportunities outside of Maxim will come your way.
