Pros

The only positive I can say about Maximus is that I met some nice people and I did get paid

Cons

-NO health benefits EVER; No sick days EVER; No paid days off EVER; if you ask for them, they'll get rid of you. I witnessed FOURTEEN people lose their job in only 6 months -You don't work for Maximus, you are a TEMP and they won't tell you that. They literally lie to you about being a TEMP. -If you call out even one time or take another interview YOUR GONE -You can make them a million dollars. You call out ONCE or ask for Health Coverage and you are gone

Cons

Not too many - a few misunderstanding s about training classes and roles but overall, not bad.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
