I worked at the Reston Corporate Office and in addition to working in an old, cramped environment, I was often bewildered by the way upper management treats everyone else. Politics are everywhere and it is a very cut throat environment. Not diverse at all .. most of the supervisors, Directors, and VPs are white ... and only those up for promotion are white. Also, if you come from a business school or have worked elsewhere you will have a hard time adjusting because they make up their own rules and processes --- most often outdated and ineffecient. Also, they are not concerned about improving processes - they are very happy with the status quo ... something that is preposterous and unheard of in today's business world. In summary, if you have a brain and want to use it, this place will disappoint. If you are a yes man/woman you will love it .... I am glad I left and got my brain back. Worst work environment I have ever had.
