Pros

Great variety of people. Large area for eating and snacks. It's a job. Dress business casual.

Cons

Management teaches you to do something one way, and then docs you for doing it the way you were taught! Because they change the policy and don't tell you about it(atleast it was for me as an entry level employee) entry is through a temp agency, and the pay is terrible.$10. Bosses are not on the same page and give you different answers (regarding rules and work instructions) for the same question.

Remote, adequate training and guidance and usually everything /software works - minus regular hiccups.

Cons

Not too many - a few misunderstanding s about training classes and roles but overall, not bad.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
