Pros

Work remote. Its a job.

Cons

Low pay. Low moral. Depressing work environment. Overworked people. Understaffed so executives can pocket more money. No raises so executives can pocket more money. Executives only care about themselves and their investors. Dishonesty and zero transparency from the leadership team. Pretend to support every possible cause and race ever to walk the earth with empty emails but step on these people every chance they get and do nothing to make their everyday lives better. Keep people down with low wages and horrible benefits. Hypocrites at the highest levels.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
